Fuzion Trading uses high-quality products sourced from trusted suppliers to manufacture durable and resistant pneumatic and hydraulic seals. Find the range of common materials used at Fuzion Trading below.
Acetal
Acetal, also known as polyoxymethylene or POM, is a high-strength, low-friction plastic used widely for the engineering of plastic and plastic products. It has outstanding wear properties in both wet and dry environments.
Butyl
Butyl rubber is often used to produce adhesives. It is a synthetic rubber used to manufacture seals that are elastic and resistant to cracking and degrading. It offers exceptional air-barrier performance and is excellent for vibration damping.
EPDM
Ethylene propylene diene monomer or EPDM is an affordable synthetic rubber that is exceptionally durable and flexible. As a result, it is ideal for manufacturing a range of different types of seals.
Fluorosilicone
Fluorosilicone is a long-lasting rubber product that is stable in extreme temperatures. Its unique properties mean it’s widely used in various industrial applications for sealing products.
Perfluoroelastomer (G-Plast)
Perfluoroelastomers have outstanding high temperature and chemical resistance. As a result, it is one of the toughest solutions for seal manufacturing, particularly O-rings.
Natural rubber
Natural rubber is well-known for its tensile strength and excellent tear and wear resistance. In addition, it is exceptionally effective as a sealant due to its flexibility and water resistance.
Neoprene
Neoprene is a general-purpose synthetic rubber. It is waterproof, durable, and chemically resistant. In addition, it boasts excellent thermal stability and high tensile strength. As a result, it is incredibly versatile for use in various applications.
Nitrile
Nitrile is a synthetic rubber popular for its oil and chemical resistance. It can also withstand temperatures from -40°C to 108°C. As a result, it is ideal for manufacturing seals used in various pumping applications.
Nylon
Nylon offers exceptional resistance to abrasion, wear, and friction. It is a robust and remarkably versatile material across numerous applications. Nylon seals last longer than their rubber counterparts and can handle the same amount of pressure. Since it is self-lubricating, nylon seals won’t dry out like rubber seals.
Polyurethane
Polyurethane is an organic sealant that exhibits properties including hardness, adhesion strength, and flexibility.
PTFE
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic compound that is non-reactive, making it ideal for corrosive chemical applications. In addition, it is self-lubricating and resistant to acids most chemicals.
Silicone
Silicone is non-reactive, stable, and resistant to extreme temperatures, ozone exposure, UV and general weathering. It can be used from -60°C to 232°C without becoming brittle in freezing conditions or losing its dimensional tolerance at extremely high temperatures. Silicone is used frequently used in the production of O-rings, seals, and gaskets.
Viton®
Viton® is a rubber compound registered to the Du Pont company. It can withstand high temperatures, is resistant to oil and chemicals that surpass the fluid resistance of other commercial rubbers. As a result, Viton® is ideal for applications that require hard-wearing O-rings, gaskets, and seals.
VitonGF®
VitonGF® is another rubber compound registered to the Du Pont company and exhibits outstanding low-temperature properties. In addition, it is exceedingly resistant to oils and fluids. VitonGF®’s strong bond can flex without failure in hard-wearing applications.
