Pallet Jack Types
There are two main types.
M anual pallet jacks allow the operator to steer and maneuver the pallet trucks without actually driving the equipment. The lifting action for pallet jacks consists of a lever that needs to be pumped to lift the pallet jacks to the desired height. A release switch allows the pallet jacks to lower the load slowly and carefully without causing any damage.
Powered pallet jacks are fully automated and operate using an engine or motor with hydraulics to assist with the lifting and lowering of loads. There are three types of motorised pallet jacks: Available with petrol, diesel, and electric motors.
Each type of pallet jack has a different load-carrying capacity. You need to choose pallet jacks that will meet the requirements for the type, size, and weight of the goods that will be moved using pallets.
